Here are a few links that we've come across that seem to offer good advice for detecting and avoiding wildlife while you're out on the road.

• A CDC report on Vehicle/Moose collisions in Maine. Pay particular attention to the charts at the bottom- they show the time of day and the time of year collisions are most likely.
   
• A Motorcycle/Moose collision in Wyoming. The rider lived. The moose died. Most interesting- the rider didn't even have time to leave skid marks on the road.
